Sr. Staff Reliability EngineerJob DescriptionThis company in Redmond, WA that develops laser scanning technology for projection, 3D sensing, and image capture is seeking a Sr. Staff Reliability Engineer role for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of reliability including product reliability specification, testing execution and documentation.Coordinate with product development team on required component, subassembly and product reliability requirements, testing and documentation. Be/become automotive reliability requirement expert. Drive techniques including failure analysis and root cause analysis, FMEAs, reliability analysis, accelerated testing techniques, and application of statistical analysis techniques (e.g. Weibull, Chi-squared, DOE, multiple regression analysis).Translate relevant data/information into broadly understandable risks and provide means for trade off discussions. Build product reliability life models utilizing field data analysis and designed experiment results. Serves as advocate for reliability across the organization.Job Requirements:The ideal candidate should have a minimum 10+ years in technical field and 5+ years focused on reliability and test in a product development environment, Master of Science in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science or a related technical field strongly preferred. A Bachelor of Science in technical discipline with appropriate work history also will be considered.Apply solid understanding of quality and reliability concepts to develop specific reliability plans at the component, subassembly and product levels. Ability to contribute to and review product design to ensure reliability objectives are met. Demonstrated technical expertise in reliability testing, modeling and product lifetime prediction. Work throughout organization to ensure proper definition of reliability expectations and appropriate assurance techniques.Expert in writing detailed solution specifications, documentation, test plans and test reports. Strong understanding material property physics (mechanical, optical and material science). Experience with a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. Semi-conductor, MEMS or wafer level processes knowledge. Proficient in ReliaSoft or Minitab reliability analysis.
