Fleet IT Support Specialist to work in our

Seattle, WA office.

Job Description: Provides system configuration support for Fleet systems. Administers, develops and documents logistics and management support of IT systems. Ensures Fleet network resources meet client requirements and support Fleet data collection, storage and transfer requirements. Ensures the IT security for Fleet systems. Conducts training and customer support for Fleet personnel and systems. Computer Systems Maintenance: Maintains computer system programs such as operating systems, utilities, compilers, system drivers, and performance management systems to facilitate and control computer system operation and associated application programs. Microcomputer Systems: Establishes microcomputer hardware and software configurations such as the installation of memory, communication boards, disk drives, etc.; and installs and supports commercially supplied software. Provides expert technical advice to those developing or using microcomputer-based applications systems. IT Security: Performs basic and applied research leading to improved methods for the protection of IT systems, including the development, application, analysis, and testing of security methods and systems which prevent or limit the loss of IT resources due to unauthorized access, destruction, disclosure, tampering, or alteration; studies IT system vulnerabilities and proposes solutions; develops security standards for both government and commercial use; instructs others on the proper application of IT security techniques. Microsoft Azure: Able to manage Azure subscriptions and resources; implement and manage storage; deploy and manage virtual machines; configure and manage virtual networks; and manage identities. Support the design and implementation of a cloud security services strategy for monitoring the IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions for customers across Azure Work within a team and lead cloud-based engineering efforts supporting the deployment of security monitoring capabilities and hosted infrastructure management.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or administration
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity and experience with data storage, software applications, networking; systems and services used in the automated acquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, interchange, transmission, assurance, or reception of information; computers, network components, peripheral equipment, software, firmware, services, and related resources.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience providing IT operations in support of and/or aboard aircraft and ships, specifically in support of NOAA and/or OMAO operations.
  • Graduate, or equivalent, full-performance level knowledge of the theories, principles, and methods of a technical professional field and of a specialty within that field, and the ability to define problems, perform background research, develop, and execute a project plan, organize and evaluate results, and prepare reports of findings.
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent
