Title: Senior Software Engineer/Software Architect

Location: Orlando, FL

Duration: 4 month contract to hire

Compensation: $70-$75/hr on contract with a $140k-$150k salary conversion

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer/Software Architect role in Orlando, Florida.

Skillset:
  • Job Summary The Sr. Software Engineer/ Software Architect will work closely with the Program Manager to design and develop new technology solutions, innovate to recommend, plan, and estimate future solutions. The Sr. Software Engineer/ Software Architect will have the following responsibilities:
    • Design and develop software solutions for the seamless integration of custom training application capabilities into a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Adobe Prime LMS platform.
    • Coordinate with Program Manager and scrum masters for development of technological applications that are customized to meet an organization's needs.
    • Implement agile cards to modify applications resulting from approved user requests and trains users on updates. Determines Tier 2 and Tier 3 priorities and deconflict issues with team workloads in real-time.
    • Demonstrates and assists scrum team with learning and using new technologies. Professionally communicate ideas to customer and team.
    • Document software requirements and software design, develop and implement test plans.
    • Develop automated testing of software packages.
    • Evaluate and recommend integration solutions based on client preferences to the Program Manager.
    • Works collaboratively with team members, including software engineers, system administrator, Learning Management System support, and third-party vendors.
    • Conducts analysis and provides recommendations to the Gov client for system lifecycle, to include enhancements, maintenance, and sunset recommendations.
    • Conducts quality control, development or revision of technical and procedural documentation.
    This role is a systems-based approach capable of Network Infrastructure Set-up, Database Design and Software Development, coupled with the ability to see the big picture while also tending to the details.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field and six years of experience.
    • Strong database architecture skills using Microsoft SQL Server
    • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the following:
      • JavaScript including JS frameworks such as Node, Vue, react, etc.
      • jQuery
      • C Sharp (C#)
      • Visual Basic
      • o ASP.NET Core
      • o ASP.NET MVC
      • o ASP.NET Web Forms
      • HTML 5
      • SQL Server Reporting Services
      • Web APIdevelopment
      • WCF Services
      • Entity Framework
      • Familiar with Microsoft programs such as Power Apps and Power Automate
      • SQL Server 2012
      • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
      • TSQL
      • Bootstrap 3.0 and 4.0 and other applicable front end web development libraries
      • DevExpress
      • Section 508 Accessibility Compliance
      • Experienced in development on AWS, Azure or other Cloud Technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given for those with a working knowledge and experience in:
    • SharePoint Server Manager
    • Google Analytics
    • TypeScript
    • Agile
    • Adobe Prime/Captivate
    • Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) / Information Assurance (IA)
    • Access to your Github portfolio or personal webpage to review projects and related work.
    In addition, this position will require the successful candidate to:
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and customer program managers.
    • Pass a background check and drug screen
    • Obtain a PIV Card to support our client, or Permanent Resident only
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Work remotely with excellent organization and communication skills.
