(Preferably SAP)3+ years experience in capacity and materials planningGood communication skillsSkillsets:Should be quick learnerDetail orientatedAbility to multi-taskGood organization skillsMicrosoft Office (Excel and Outlook)• Hours Mon-Friday 7am-3:30pm• Will candidates be required to report onsite at day one - YesGeneral Summary:Plan, track, and control raw materials, HW, FG, and sub-component inventories in order to ensure production schedules can be planned and met. Ensure raw material inventories are accurate and proper levels are maintained within defined limits. Plan Production/Manufacturing departments/work centers to help the facility meet the different business unit’s customer requirements and financial goalsDuties and Responsibilities:• Perform materials planning function by ordering raw materials, packaging, HW, and inventoried supplies based on usage, forecasts and suppliers’ capabilities. This includes developing/correcting plans based on historical data, forecasted equipment utilization, and production capacity manning.• Develop production schedules for work centers as needed to support customer requirements, on time shipments, production efficiencies, and utilization of equipment based on machine times and manpower.• Coordinate and evaluate engineering change notices. Work with NPI on prototypes/trial runs to determine impact on all levels of inventory and production capacities and assist in the efficient resolution and implementation of required changes.• Communicate with Customer Service Representatives/PLM’s on any sales order issues and order reprioritizations.• Participate in meetings to help coordinate sales and operations planning process and facilitate flow of product through factory.• Evaluate new orders/inquiries to ensure part numbers are loaded and order raw materials as needed to meet on time shipments.• Enter Transfer Orders for all materials shipped to other locations. Work with Accounting/Shipping to correct and reverse any incorrect receipts.• Verify, correct, process all supplier invoice issues. Communicate to Purchasing Department status of any pricing discrepancies.• Coordinate with Receiving Clerk the location and movement of raw materials for optimum utilization of space.• Utilize all opportunities in Out of Flow Inventory to improve inventory turns and quick deliveries.• Attend seminars and training to maintain or improve job skills and performance.The information in this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
