Maintenance

Summary: Conduct wide ranging repair, maintenance, and upkeep duties across the entire facility; encompassing routine aspects as well as project initiatives.

Pay Rate: $15 - $18/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

Well organized, with solid mechanical skills, and positive can-do attitude, and the ability to account for consumables used during the course of maintenance and repairs.

Work with minimal supervision, but also coordinate with others and engage productively within a team environment.

Demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate and avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot any problems that do arise

Knowledge of basic power hand tools.

Conduct general maintenance and repair on all types of systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical – which may involve skills such as welding, plumbing, wiring, etc. Other useful skills include fabrication and machining.

Examples of typical repair and maintenance include:

all types of machinery and support equipment – check, replenish, clean; replace filters, oil, grease, batteries and other consumables

work tools –grinders, sanders, drills, motors, machinery, etc

material handling and storage – racks, shelving, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

facility – repairing damage, including plumbing, doors and walls, floors; lighting and air lines throughout the facility and may involve painting as necessary

on the job training will be provided unless already skilled at a particular task

Routine care duties, include sweeping shop, changing garbage bags, cleaning and organizing maintenance area, and addressing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries throughout facility.

Any and all comparable tasks related to the company’s ‘build projects’ as we develop new capabilities or expand production capacity

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing and machining environment. Experience in troubleshooting machinery issues with various types manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Must be self-motivated, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work safely and accurately while maintaining a sense of urgency.
