Regional Mileage Road Company Drivers:

These are the top paying jobs in the area. Usually leaving out Sunday evening or Monday morning, getting home Friday evening or Saturday. Schedule varies, sometimes get home Friday or Saturday. Run mostly VA, MD, DE, NJ, PA, OH, WV, & NC. Over 60% of loads are drop and hook. Off approximately 48 hours every weekend regardless of when you get in (example, get in Friday 8PM go out Sunday 8PM, or get in Saturday noon go out Monday at noon.) Regional Mileage OTR drivers run the newest trucks. Most are 2016-2019 models, most with automatic and some with 10 speed transmissions, and APU equipped. Omnitracs communication and electronic logs. Average $1,350 to $1,550 a week, ($70,000 to $75,000 year) and full benefit package. Regional OTR drivers paid at $0.52 1/4 per mile ($.49 1/4 base + $.03 weekly attendance bonus.) Pay advances to $0.55 1/4 per mile. Additional pay for pickup and delivery, detention, double switch, trailer sweeps.Owner-Operators:

Profit Sharing Plan: automatic enrollment after 1 year, Houff Transfer makes 100% of the contributions. Scholarship fund; offered for children and grandchildren, $500 for 2 year colleges and technical schools, and $1,000 annually for 4 year colleges. Weight Loss Plan; offered to employees and their spouses. Houff Transfer pays you $15 a pound to lose weight.Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year full time recent experience in tractor-trailer truck. Stable work record with verifiable work history. Good driving record; no serious citations or accidents in the last 5 years, no DUI or failed drug tests in last 7 years. Good record of DOT compliance. Able to obtain a minimum of a 1 year DOT physical. Physically fit to be able to climb in and out of trucks and trailers, drop & hook, slide tandems, as much as 8-10 times daily. Requires Hazmat and tank endorsements within 90 days of hire. Will have to register with FMCSA drug/alcohol clearinghouse to allow employment record check.How to get hired: Start by submitting a company application, online at www.houff.com or completing a paper application. Submitting a copy of your MVR, DOT physical, copy of driver's license and social security card will shorten the hiring process. After reviewing your application and supporting documents, we will call you for a phone interview, and then schedule a personal interview. Then you'll take a drug test, road test, and new DOT physical. We'll have you come back for a day and a half of orientation, and then you're ready to start earning.
