Your duties will be driving tractor trailer doing pick-up and delivery of local freight using vans, flatbeds and lift gate pups.
We are looking for a dependable, experienced CDL Class A Driver who is looking for a great opportunity to be a part of the success of a reputable company.
Position Summary:
Primary functions of this position are pick-up and delivery of local freight, using a variety of vehicles. Also assists in loading and unloading trucks and containers; participates in general warehouse and customer service duties.
Key Responsibilities: (this list is not all inclusive, nor may all duties be completed by all within this job title)
Efficient and safe pick-up and delivery of local freight using flatbed truck, box truck, van, tractor trailer or other company vehicle
Load and/or unload vehicles, trailers or containers as needed
Move freight within yard or warehouse using forklift or other equipment as needed
Process any and all paperwork related to freight
Represent Span/MSTS in a polite and professional manner at all times
Consistently adhere to all of Span/MSTS Safety and Fit for Duty policies and procedures as well as DOT regulations
Inspect and maintain vehicle such as gas, oil, coolant, tires, lights and brakes to ensure proper working condition; perform minor vehicle maintenance, emergency repairs and cleaning
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
A high school education is preferred but not required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary qualifications to successfully perform your duties.
You must have a Class A CDL with HazMat Endorsement and a good driving record.
Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, 75 lbs. occasionally.
