CABINET WOODWORK FINISHER/FABRICATOR

CABINET WOODWORK FINISHER/FABRICATOR: Established custom cabinet shop seeking cabinet spray finisher with experience working in a professional woodshop or carpentry environment. Cabinet fabrication experience is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This role requires assisting lead finisher in the professional finishing of multiple cabinet projects. Tasks include sanding and prepping cabinetry for painting/refinishing, masking cabinetry, using spray equipment to apply coatings to cabinetry and various wood products. Assistance with other cabinet fabrication processes and general labor will often be required.

This position requires a strong attention to detail and standing for long periods of time. Working a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed to bring jobs to completion is a requirement. Ability to work successfully within a team environment is a must.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Extensive knowledge of all types of finishing materials (paints, stains and topcoats used in a high production spray finishing environment)

Proficiency with properly matching and mixing custom stain, paint, glaze, conversion varnish and polyurethane coatings and applying custom finishes to high end cabinetry and millwork.

Ability to prep surfaces, inspect, touch-up and buff finished products to desired quality are essential

Ability to work efficiently and safely is a must

Refinishing knowledge and various on-site abilities required.

Must have ability to work independently and without supervision

Must possess a positive attitude, be reliable and willing to learn.

Hourly Wage: Commensurate with experience/skill level
