The Director of Finance role is an exciting opportunity for people who are looking to take the next step in their career and build out a Finance function and grow their own team at a high growth start-up. However, the right candidate will want to take on ownership beyond the accounting, which is where the expanded scope of forecasting and team-building come in. People coming from one of the Big 4 public accounting firms will be ideal. This will provide for the technical validation and management experience desired, and be useful in selecting audit/tax partners on a go-forward basis.
This role provides great exposure to world-class investors and will be working with an experienced and supportive management team. However, to keep up with the caliber of their peers and due to the nature of our growth trajectory it also requires someone who thrives on being thrown into the deep end and figuring it out. The successful candidate will have strong intellectual curiosity and a customer-centric orientation that allows them to learn the business quickly and earn the respect of their stakeholders.
