Healthcare Data Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a HealthcareData Analyst for a long term contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role will be a combination of onsite and telecommuting per week. Candidates who are local to Atlanta are encouraged to apply.

This role will besupporting data management and analysis for a network of healthcare facilities through the State of Georgia. Additional responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement healthcare performance metrics
• Oversee the selection, development, and implementation of performance measures.
• Define and develop data collection plans, ensure data quality standards, and dissemination of results.
• Review and validate performance data, prepare CMS data compliance and issue reports, provide data research andtrack and manage data issues with collection and reporting.
• Coordinate and support organizational work plans for oversight and monitoring of the performance metrics related to the project.
• Develop and manage project plans by defining milestones, setting deadlines, delegating tasks, coordinating project meetings, and ensuring on time completion of work.
• Document business rules, functional requirements, non-functional requirements and process flows.
• Define operational definitions of performance metrics using available healthcare data, map data elements for each metric, maintain data mapping documentation.
• Coordinate and participate in data collection and analysis.
• Support and leadership in change/project management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of academic or relevant work experience with data collection and management, data statistical analysis, and data interpretation/consulting.
• Bachelor's degree required in IT, data science & analytics, business, statistics, business management OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
• Must have knowledge and experience in healthcare data management (e.g. Electronic Health Records, Health Information Systems, etc.)
• Must have knowledge and experience in healthcare claims (e.g. 837/835/277/999 and UB04, CMS 1500 forms)
