Systems Integration Lead

Client is a privately-held, high-tech small business focusing on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing. We provide premium systems, services, and products for the Department of Defense, government agencies and commercial clients. Progeny Systems is seeking a System Integration Lead that reports to the Technical Project Lead and Program Manager. The role includes planning, scheduling and executing assigned projects, identifying and prioritizing issues, providing oversight and direction to Integration team members, and ensuring approved plans and schedules are met.

• Generate integration plans and procedures for complex systems
• Plan for use of both custom and COTS test equipment, cables, circuit card assemblies, software, and fixtures to support testing
• Incrementally build-up and verify sub-assemblies per mechanical, electrical, and software specifications per the documented plans
• Identify issues, establish root cause, and document findings
• Verify that software/hardware is maintained under configuration management and that a known baseline is under test
• Lead a Problem Resolution Board (PRB) responsible for prioritizing issues and assigning an urgency for closure
• Document integration results in a formal test report
• Provide planned projects for review & approval by Technical Project Lead and Program Manager
• Execute approved plans and schedules to meet milestones and expectations
• Provide priority updates to achieve schedule and/or reduce program risk
• Utilize applicable tools (Jira, Issuetrak, etc.) to monitor & track project progress, products, and issues
• Provide regular updates of progress and schedule status

• BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 5 or more years of system engineering or system test experience
