Accounts Receivable / Deductions Specialist

Our client, one of the largest food manufacturing companies in the U.S., is seeking a temporary to permanent Accounts Receivable / Deductions Specialist to join their growing accounting department.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$18-25/hr | $50-60k

Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable / Deductions Specialist will be responsible for the daily administration of trade deductions including promotional bill-backs, scan-downs, slotting, new store allowances and assisting the Accounts Receivable Department.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

Researching, analyzing and offsetting all trade deductions

Running sales analysis to validate quantities deducted

Validating Promotions in AFS, confirming all parameters are met and approvals issued

Filing disputes if deductions are not valid

Preparing offset package with all necessary documentation to meet Dept and Audit standards

Maintaining detailed spreadsheets on all open items on their customer portfolio

Scanning, distributing and filing open deduction paperwork

Assisting in special projects as needed

Accounts Receivable Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of Deduction Specialist Experience

Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Excel including pivot tables and V-lookups

Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and a willingness to learn new things

Good communication skills and ability to work with various people and teams in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
