Las Cumbres has one full time opening for a Community Based Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Reunification (CBPIR) Family Navigator. The CBPIR program works closely with the Children Youth and Families Division and other community providers, to deliver services to parents and primary/secondary caregivers of children ages 0-18 to prevent child abuse and neglect. CBPIR Navigators work to improve family safety and risk factors, access to community resources, support healthy parent-child interactions, and increase parents and primary/secondary caregivers' knowledge of and ability to meet children's developmental needs.

Key qualities to be successful in this role include: an outgoing personality, great oral and written communication and problem-solving skills, highly organized and flexible, and a strong desire to engage in community-based work. Must be proficient with technology and have reliable transportation. BA in Social Work or a related Human Services field preferred. Combination of education and experience totaling (6) six years may be considered in lieu of degree. Bilingual strongly preferred. Must have valid New Mexico's Driver's License. Position located in Rio Arriba County.
