Sylvan Learning Center in Mineola is growing and we are looking for dedicated teachers to inspire and help our students achieve academic excellence. We are currently in need of 2 Elementary teachers. We are looking for certified teachers or students in at least their junior year of an accredited education program who are passionate about helping children to reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills, gain experience and work in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Elementary tutors should have a strong background in building literacy skills with respect to print awareness, phonological awareness, phonics and fluency.

We value your input on each student that your teach and we need your expertise to help our students be successful. We are looking for teachers who can inspire and motivate children to develop their confidence and skills. Sylvan provides all of the lesson plans and materials that you will need to work with your students, and there is no outside prep work required. Just come in and do what you love most, teach!

We are currently looking for teachers who have at least 2 afternoon/weeknights available for tutoring. We are currently open Mon-Thurs and Saturday mornings for instruction.
