Paid Graphic Design and Marketing Intern

Hi! We’re a Lake Placid-based lifestyle and apparel startup (still in stealth mode) seeking a part-time (5-10 hours weekly), paid design intern to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company and help establish the brand-narrative for an exclusive Adirondack firm. Projects will include social media posts, website design, t-shirt design, and more. We’re a small, agile startup looking for a motivated intern who is ready to get involved with all aspects of the company and build new skills. Hours are flexible and work will be remote with some in-person collaboration possible.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and design new content pieces;

Assist with in-house photography;

Develop design layouts;

Manage social media and explore influencer marketing opportunities;

Work closely with team to ensure that projects are completed according to deadlines.

Skills, Experience, Requirements:

Working towards a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience;

Creative thinking, graphic design and typography skills;

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills and access to programs;

Photography skills a plus;

Passion for social media and emerging technologies and platforms;

Capable of working independently;

Willing to take on new challenges and learn new skills; and

Passion for the Adirondack aesthetic!

Compensation:

$15/hour not to exceed 10 hours per week
