This position assists the Site Supervisor in providing high-quality supplemental support in Early Head Start, Head Start, NC Pre-K and Wrap Around programs. This individual will step in to assist the classroom in the care and supervision of the children in the absence of a Teacher, Teacher Assistant, or Support and may also be asked to assist the Site Supervisor, Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Cook or other staff as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and NC Early Childhood Credential and have or be working towards a NC Early Childhood Certificate or equivalent coursework.

Preferred: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field.

Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of teaching experience within a NC licensed 5-star child care facility/program. Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.
