Cobol Programmer/Mainframe Developer

A Programmer Analyst consults with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications. Designs and develops computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on user defined requirements. Writes code, programs, tests, and analyzes new application software. May formulates management policies for user rights and security. Advise IT management about IT issues within the Company. As an Programmer Analyst, you will be interacting with the Application Development teams across the country and overseas. You will interact with Product Managers, Project Managers, GIO (Global Infrastructure Operations) resources and Client/Partner IT resources to collaborate on projects.COBOL programmer to work on batch applications that support credit card processing. Job duties include the following:Consults with users, to determine software or system functional specifications.Designs and develops computer systems or programs, based on user defined requirements.Writes code, programs, tests, and analyzes new application software.Works on moderately complex projects with moderate breadth of responsibility.Will handle on-call duties6+ yrs. of related IT experience.
