Job Description

The

Accounting Business Analyst will address functional issues that arise from internal users within the ERP Application environment and work with the ERP core team members to implement the ERP system in new facilities.

Remote: Temporarily due to Covid-19

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling a wide range of end user issues in the financial area including, but not limit: to GL, AP, AR and Costing. These issues may be bugs, training/set-up or possibly modification related.
  • Develop business related knowledge to be able to understand and solve end user requirements/issues.
  • Activities related to building and coordinating other team members within the Organization. These activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Provide training and mentoring to other team members and/or end users within the Organization.
    • Work closely with other functional leads to ensure a complete solution is provided to end users and is the best fit in all areas.
    • Work with the Project Manager to identify needs for application training and development and is responsible for coordinating and implementing those programs
  • Take an active part in building relationships between project team members and other project groups.
  • Understand the importance of and delivery a high degree of customer service.
  • Create functional specifications as needed for stakeholders.
  • Map existing business processes to the ERP system and utilize the ERP system to facilitate/improve current business practice. Provide guidance to the end users to deliver best business practices.
  • Create financial and managerial reports for end users as needed (PL/SQL, Business Analytics or SQL).
  • Train end users on ERP application and create work instructions for end users.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements to perform job duties:

  • Walk/move on a variety of surfaces including tile, wood, concrete and carpet.
  • Stand/remain upright; walk/move around building.
  • Sit/remain seated up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Reach down, forward and overhead.
  • Turn and twist repetitively.
  • Use a computer with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse constantly during entire shift.
  • Use multiline telephone frequently during entire shift.
  • Use general office equipment including 10-key calculator, copier, fax machine and printer regularly.
  • Visual acuity to see dual computer monitors and data and ability to adjust focus

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years Business Analyst experience in an ERP environment performing the essential duties described above (IFS production support and/or functional experience preferred; will consider applicants with JDE, Oracle, or SAP experience).
  • Previous work experience with day-to-day accounting and/or ERP applications.
  • 3 years of Financial report writing experience.
  • Manufacturing industry and/or logistic experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in accounting/finance functions including, but not limited to, GL, AR, AP, Costing and Financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) with strong Excel skills.
  • Candidate must have a functional knowledge of ERP applications and must be able to apply that knowledge to help solve the customer's business requirements. IFS preferred, other major ERP applications like JDE, SAP, Oracle considered.
  • Report writing experience.
  • A working knowledge of PL/SQL or SQL is a plus.
