Job Description
The Room Attendant completes cleaning tasks assigned daily, by area, according to shown procedures and using specified products.
Essential Job FunctionClean and service guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures.Provide the necessary linen and amenities according to the guest room legend.Leave the guest room in a uniform arrangement as determined by the Housekeeping Manager.Report status of rooms cleaned according to procedures and any discrepancies.Report any damage, hazards, and repairs, to supervisors or through maintenance requests.Assume responsibility for all keys signed out for shift.Keep corridors and service areas clean and neat.Linens and garbage to be brought to proper areas according to procedures.Update daily room master worksheet before breaks, lunch or clocking out at end of day.Perform deep cleaning of rooms twice yearly.Guest requests responded to on a timely basis.Qualifications
Some previous cleaning experience preferredAbility to speak, read, and writebasic Spanish preferredAbility to speak, read, and write basic English preferred

Supervision Given and ReceivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of the Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.Work Environment and physical demandsAbility to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of timeRegularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistanceThe physical demands described here are representative of those thatmust be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
