JOB SUMMARY

Small but busy interior design center seeking design assistant. Job duties include but are not limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Maintaining order in the showroom and fabric room

-Prioritizing and providing excellent customer service

-Ordering samples and product

-Collaborating on design and assisting designers on projects

-Assisting with merchandising under direction of showroom manager

-Taking direction from management and design team

-Creating estimates, purchase orders, and invoices

-Ability to work in team environment

-Assist with warehouse duties

-Clean and well-groomed appearance

KEY SKILLS

-Demonstrate winning Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution.

-Ability to sell both through written text and over the phone

-Maintain knowledge of Ambrose furniture products

-Have relevant Customer service experience

-Knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop

-Ability to work in deadline-driven environment

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

Extreme attention to detail required

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

-Microsoft PowerPoint (1 year preferred)

-Associates (preferred)

NOTES

-This position might require working 2 Saturdays a month and occasional driving in town with reimbursed mileage. Part-Time: 30hrs per week.
