HDR Engineering is looking for a Wyoming Water Lead/Manager to join our Cheyanne, WY office.

Primary Responsibilities

The Wyoming Water Lead/Manager is responsible for the growth, coordination and oversight of the water program in Wyoming. Responsibilities include business development activities for planning, design, and construction programs; work with local operations managers and regional directors in the areas of strategic planning, development of annual and long term goals, program leadership, client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits and delivery, and staffing.

  • Drive business development efforts within Wyoming, including involvement in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
  • Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
  • Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
  • Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
  • Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues
  • See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
  • Implement, monitor and support company policy
  • Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel
  • Manage and develop multidiscipline teams
  • Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10+ year’s of progressive experience including design and project management within either Water/Wastewater/storm water projects for the municipal/civil market space.
  • PE required.
  • Excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships in water
  • Experience managing staff, clients and contracts, as well as hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm
  • Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff
