Job Description
We're looking to the future, and we'll need a
Senior Analystto join our Operations team, on a 12-month fixed term basis, to help us understand what that future could look like.We requiresomeonewith experience of developing data models,who can workwith senior leaders to understand the implicationsdifferent business models will have on our people. We are conscious our future workforce is likely tochange:demographics will be different as will expectations of employees,technology will change work and environmental influences are likely to provide us with opportunities not currentlyforeseen.We want to get ahead of this curve.To be successful in this autonomous data analyst role, you’ll need to be comfortable taking the lead and:
- Generating and advising on how to use data insights to better understand why, where and howour organisation may changeand advise senior leaders where to apply resources to improveoutcomes.
- Providing data, analysis, evaluation and research to inform decision-making on strategy, prioritisation andinvestment.
- Identifying areas of focus for improving overall performance and help toprioritiseaction that produces results.
- Contributing to the production of accurate and timely performance reports, trend analysis and businessinformation.
- Developing effective working relationships and networks with key individuals and groupsacross the business.
Qualifications
Is this you?- Relevant tertiary qualification (for example Operation Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics) or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
- Over 5 years’ experience developing data models to determine impacts of a range of business scenarios
- Exceptional communicator – you have the ability to communicate and work with a range of people, in a conscientious and inclusive way
- Experience providing high quality written reports and presentations to senior leaders
The role can be based in either Wellington or New Plymouth.
