Job Description

We are looking for Solutions Developer, in this role you an AWS native Solution Developer that contributes to designing, developing, and maintaining application software. This is championed by a tier one industry leading digital ordering platform. A strong focus of the role is placed on analysis of existing IT application software and designing innovative application software to manage and deliver Group IT – Global Express (GE) applications.

As the Solutions Developer, you will be accountable for:

  • Responsible for designing, coding, testing, and installing applications programs to support Group IT – Global Express (GE)
  • Assisting with capacity plans including equipment and resources to ensure timely delivery of agreed projects
  • Responsible for effective communication and stakeholder management through the delivery cycle
  • Follow the transition process for build into support including ensuring that all the relevant quality management and other protocols have been effectively followed
  • Undertake the appropriate testing through the lifecycle of the project to ensure quality of the work including unit testing, user acceptance testing and penetration testing

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Fluent in Java - 4 to 5 years of experience with 2 years of Java web application development
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in application software development in an AWS, eCommerce and digital environment
  • Technical, analytical and written communication skills
  • Portal/portlet development experience - prefer Liferay DXP experience of at least 1 year
  • Relevant experience with AWS, Java, JavaScript, JSP, JBOSS, AJAX, jQuery, CSS, XHTML, and web frameworks (Struts, Spring etc) \
  • Experience deploying applications in a SaaS / PaaS environment - AWS native development, CI/CD and automation experience preferred
