We have a fantastic opportunity in our DevOps Chapter Area for an experienced integration leader to lead our Middleware & Integration Chapter. 

Qualifications

About You: 

As a DevOps Middleware & Integration chapter lead you provide hands on technical leadership to a group of like-minded integration engineers on end-to-end integration whilst contributing towards the adoption of a modern DevOps culture. You will work closely with the Chapter Area Lead, other DevOps Chapter Leads, Members, Tribe Leads and others to ensure our squads are resourced with the right technical skills and expertise required to achieve their mission.

Your responsibilities are to: 

  • Drive the adoption of a dev-ops culture across the Dev-ops chapter area by being a part of a Dev-ops leadership team who are modernising the dev-ops engineering practice at TWG. 

  • Ensure that the EnterpriseMiddleware & Integrationgovernance strategy is in place and that all standards are being adhered to. 

  • Work with the architecture chapter to ensure the adoption and implementation of architectural integration guidelines and frameworks across the TWG solution landscape. 

  • Continuously improve best practice integration engineering methods, standards, and process, by using modern DevOps engineering principles i.e. automation, CI/CD, collaboration etc.

  • Mentor and coach chapter members to enhance and develop their ‘craft’ (technical) capability along with agile delivery and mindset skills. 

  • Work with the Chapter Area & Tribes leads to allocate the most appropriate team members to delivery squads based on skill, experience, and availability.  

  • Take ownership: Step up, drive, and deliver results. Prioritise your work to deliver business impact and customer value. Leverage inputs from your team members and other stakeholders to make decisions. 

  • Test and learn: Try new things and learn from successes and failures. Work with others to identify roadblocks and share learnings along the way. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • BSc Computer Science or similar 

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a technical software engineering leadership role 

  • Extensive experience working in an Agile environment with software product engineering teams 

  • Proven Experience and knowledge of common enterprise integration platforms, tools & technologies 

  • Strong understanding with proven experience of CI/CD pipelines and process and DevOps engineering practices & principles.

  • Strong understanding andexperience with MicroServices, Message Queues, Streaming Platforms e.g. Kafka or Kinesis 

  • Knowledge and experience of Azure, AWS, or similar cloud environments 

  • Passion for people development with proven skills in coaching & mentoring team members in the areas of performance, career development, agile delivery ways of working.
