Job Description

As the Finance Business Partner you will assist the business in the management, governance and deliverables of the financial processes (accounting, reporting, analytics and control) by partnering with internal and external partners. To ensure continuity and minimise disruptions in business operations relating to finance functions (accounts payable, payroll, etc.)

As the Business Finance Partner, you will:

  • Completion of period end (month end, year end, etc.) processes including controlling of accruals, provisions and review of the corresponding results.
  • Ensure policies, processes and statutory requirements are adhered to.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis (outside of statutory or standard periodic financial reporting)
  • Ownership of end to end payables processes (vendor creations, purchase requisitions approvals, review and audit of spend, audit of integrity of GL coding, etc.) within the region including but not limited to subcontractors and general vendors.
  • To partner effectively with local stakeholders (Branch Managers, General Managers, etc.) in regards to issues relating to the finance support functions including but not limited to vendor/ supplier issues, ad-hoc reporting requirements, driving of national led finance initiative into local depots, etc.
  • Joint ownership of Budget & Forecasts –input cohesively together with Commercial roles to formulate the B&F
  • Joint ownership of CAPEX/ OPEX business cases where required and to work together with the Commercial Roles.
  • Joint ownership of financial data analytics – to work cohesively together with Commercial roles to identify financial trends including variance analysis and to assist in the collation of periodical board reports.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Highly analytical with exceptional ability to organise, manipulate and interpret data from various sources
  • Tertiary Qualification in Business
  • Not mandatory but highly regarded would be a Professional Accounting Qualification, CPA/CAA
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
