Software Business Analyst / Product Manager

Location: Anchroage, AK

50% Office / 50% Remote

Duration: Full Time

Compensation: Competitive Compensation Package

We are a local Alaskan founded software startup with employees across three continents working on developing a platform to serve a multibillion-dollar addressable market in the US alone. We are searching for a business analyst for our product development team who can provide analysis for the business needs, document business use cases and processes, gather and document business requirements, and pair a software business model with the software being built.

As a business analyst you'll fill the delta between stakeholders and the dev team, translating business requirements into actionable development tasks to match a final software product with the expected business value.

As a startup we need to build fast and get to market quick and are looking for people that thrive working in a fast pace environment, can adapt to changing responsibilities and filling multiple roles, and are flexible with hours to accommodate meetings with overseas developers and designers on the team.

Responsibilities:

Provide analysis for the business needs

Document business use cases and processes

Gather and document business requirements

Pair a software business model with the software being built

Thrive working in a fast pace environment

Can adapt to changing responsibilities and filling multiple roles

Flexible with hours to accommodate meetings with overseas developers and designers on the team

Attending 5-10 meetings a week with stakeholders, including business owner, UI/UX designers, product marketing, and developers

Interview customers in the advocacy group to extract and document user and business feedback

Potentially interview and hire additional designers and developers to join our remote team

Will require some late night and weekend meetings to meet timelines and team coordination

No direct software, SaaS, or tech company experience is required but you MUST have one of the following:

B.S./A.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, or any Engineering or related field of discipline

Attended a Software or Coding Boot Camp

Extensive coding or business analyst course work at reputable places like Udemy, Coursera, Google Career Certs, or others

Previous work in a Business Analyst or Product Manager role
