What this Job Entails:

As the Compensation Manager, you will lead the development and administration of all of Astreya’s total compensation programs. This role will be responsible for effective administration of market based job evaluation, implementation of a comprehensive total rewards program, and a companywide compensation philosophy. This includes overseeing the analysis, modeling, research and reporting required to manage these programs globally.

Scope:

  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or data needs evaluation of multiple factors, including a familiarity with current business trends.
  • Follows processes and operational policies while selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Develops and administers all compensation programs and schedules.
  • May have budget responsibilities

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively partner with managers, business leaders, HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Finance to consult, propose compensation programs and resolve compensation issues
  • Design and implement a complete total rewards structure, to include base salary and incentive plans. Create and roll out incentive plans with an eye for employee retention and performance. This would include but not be limited to sales and executive compensation packages.
  • Develop a company wide compensation strategy with consideration for short and long-term compensation philosophy in combination with competitive benefits packages
  • Guide and coach managers in compensation decision making
  • Initiate and conduct compensation analysis and reviews in regards to pay equity, FLSA, and market competitiveness
  • Manage the annual merit cycle process from initiation to implementation
  • Lead compensation evaluations for RFPs
  • Maintain and improve existing job architecture
  • Conduct market evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs
  • Audit jobs for content and prepare job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities and requirements
  • Develop custom reports, quarterly analytics, and workforce planning reporting to meet the requirements of HR, Finance, and business leaders
  • Price and create new jobs within Workday
  • Manage job matching and participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position
  • Effectively manage and maintain internal tools, systems, database files and tables
  • Review, interpret and recommend policy, process or program improvements
  • Keep current on pay laws and customs

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company
  • Must be able to lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to independently manage the creation and implementation of programs as well as key stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Workday HCM Systems and its modules
  • Experience working in hi-tech industry preferred
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Excel, pivot tables and GSuite
  • Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in hi-tech industry preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Physical Demand & Work Environment
  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
