Job Description

Cricut is looking to add an Internal Audit Manager to its growing Accounting team! In this role, you’ll report directly to the VP of Accounting, and will be responsible for driving all aspects of SOX and Internal Audit programs. You will own all phases of executing SOX compliance, including planning, documenting, testing, remediation, and evaluation. You will work with co-source providers in identifying and maintaining accurate SOX documentation, as well aswith Internal and External Audit partners in planning and executing the SOX compliance testing program. Success in this role requires someone who is a true business partner and collaborator, who can build strong relationships and work across various internal stakeholders and external partners. Please note Cricut is currently underWork-from-Home guidance, however this role isexpected to be office-based from our South Jordan, UT headquarters once it is safeto return.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SOX compliance program with focus on assessing how to utilize third-party and internal resources, manage, monitor and report on agreed-upon deadlines
  • Perform walkthroughs in order to create / update process documentation, including process improvements.
  • Assist in monitoring and responding to matters reported by internal and external auditors, ensuring all applicable SOX matters are adequately and timely addressed.
  • Review testing procedures, testing workpapers, audit reports, and other deliverables based on the specific project requirements
  • Assess audit report and assist in the review and evaluation of significant control issues and finding remediation.
  • Provide reports on the effectiveness of internal control structure along with recommendations that improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and economic values of a control or process
  • Work with external auditors and control owners to help ensure smooth and effective completion of SOX program needs.
  • Assist control owners, and business partners with the development of the Management Action Plan to mitigate weaknesses, providing thought leadership on the appropriateness of the plan
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with business groups across the company to address SOX-related issues.
  • Bring new ideas and new ways of executing projects and internal process and compliance enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in external audit, internal audit, risk management, controls and/or corporate compliance related experience
  • Big 4 or public company experience, or a combination of both preferred
  • Proven experience executing and managing SOX audit
  • Professional certification is strongly preferred (i.e., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IIA Professional Practices and Standards, US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, risk and controls best practices
  • Experience with ERPs, such as SAP is preferred
  • Highly refined analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across the organization
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability to use relevant data to identify and resolve issues
  • Displays a strong work ethic and takes the initiative in identifying effective, efficient, and more automated ways of executing on business processes and audit procedures
