Join a busy PRIMARY CARE MEDICAL PRACTICE in Santa Maria, CA!

We are looking for a very energetic, friendly, compassionate, experienced Medical Assistant to be a part of our team.

This position for a full-time FRONT DESK MEDICAL ASSISTANT is available immediately!

This is a float position working at the mainly front desk and covering the back office as needed.

Regular office hours - no weekends or evenings!

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least one year experience in a medical office

Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be proficient with answering the phone, scheduling patients, checking insurance eligibility, receiving patient co-pays/balances, handling cash.

Must have proficient computer skills

Must have experience with EHR

Must be professional, a quick learner, and possess solid medical office knowledge

Must be detail oriented and organized

Must be able to prioritize and manage time to efficiently room patients

Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and follow protocol

Ability to accurately document chart notes, fill out orders, perform prior authorizations and referrals, help with medication refills, stock rooms, track inventory

Ability to perform injections, EKG tests, spirometry, urinalysis etc.

Ability to clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms

EDUCATION : High School Diploma and Certificate in Medical Assisting

COMPENSATION: Pay will be commensurate with your experience and skills. $15-$18/per hour. Full-time position offers two weeks PTO, paid major holidays, retirement plan.
