Our client, a leading Big 4 Client is hiring a Senior Database Developer on a contracting basis.This role is only available on w2, we cannot work on C2CWork Location: Montvale NJResponsibilities:
- Experience in working with very large tables and datasets
- Expertise in T-SQL creating stored procedures, functions, views, and advanced queries
- Strong ability to navigate through and optimize stored procedures
- Knowledge of database design principles, index management, integrity checks, and statistics
- Demonstrated ability in performance tuning, query optimization using
- SQL Server native tools (DTA, Profiler, and System Stored Procs, DMV's, DMF's).
- Experience in code migration, database change management and data management
- Experience in SQL 2012/2014/2016
- Experience in SSIS with ETL processing and automation
- Familiar with .net, XML, APIs
- Experience with multiple reporting tools (SSRS, RDLC, Power BI)
- Experience with SSAS a plus
- C# .net, SQL, RDLC, is a plus
- Experience working with cloud technologies including Azure
- Comprehend the business objectives, challenges, strategic direction and technologies by working with stakeholders and technical resources
- Write Technical Documentation as needed
- Participate in Code Reviews
- Present to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and Executive Leadership, as needed
- Seek and build relationships to enhance delivery and to better understand, identify, and work through issues across the practice
- Assist with technology roadmap, internal technology needs, and perform other technical related functions.
- 5 years of hands on SQL DBA experience
- Strong database development skills like creating data structure, building and optimizing stored procedures, performance tuning queries and ETL
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business people including C-level executives, and to explain business processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resources
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues
- Experience providing direction in an onsite/offshore development model
- Strong organization and presentation skills
- Agile Methodology experience is a plus
- Tableau or Power BI experience is a plus
