Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Engineer-Structural/Mechanical DesignDirect hire/perm position onsite in NW Idaho location. Experienced Engineer

. Bachelor's degree (or bachelor's equivalency) in Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference is Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or related Engineer education and background with structural mechanisms. Designing mechanical systems for high vibration environments. 7 years diversified engineering experience within the structural products and mechanisms components and systems.Company client is a developer of high-density, high-voltage energy storage solutions for global utility, industrial and mission-critical markets.Experienced Mechanical Engineer or Engineer working within a small team and a structured product development process. Assigned to structural products and mechanisms components, sub-assemblies and systems. Analyze products and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles and tools. Applies Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), Pugh Analysis, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), and Design for Manufacturing/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) in the development of the product. Write/compile engineering content for the following deliverables: engineering specifications and documentation, including DVP&R's, 8D's, GD&T, BOM, prototype control plans, key product characteristics, engineering changes and work orders. Coordinate the complete development for the designated products including, but not limited to design, build and test activities, in accordance with standard operating procedures and the product delivery process. Key customer interface (internal and external) who can successfully negotiate and influence design direction for optimum feasibility and cost. Helps define and incorporate customer requirements, and product specifications into the design of the designated products, ensuring compliance with operational, cost, timing, safety, reliability, quality and manufacturing feasibility parameters and government regulations Consult and collaborate with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirements. Review and approve engineering designs. Review, approve, complete, and submit required change notices to ensure design outputs meet design inputs. Contribute to the development of project timing and set targets to manage release of product deliverables per Master Timing Plan.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or bachelor's equivalency) in Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference is Mechanical Engineering or engineer with structural mechanisms. Designing mechanical systems for high vibration environments. 7 years diversified engineering experience within the structural products and mechanisms components and systems. Demonstrated ability to apply advanced academic and other engineering principles in the development of diverse automotive components through the use of engineering tools such as DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, DFSS Tools, Tolerance Analysis, Manufacturing Feasibility, Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving, and Statistical Analysis Successfully completed all phases of a Product Development & Launch Must be able to read, create, and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications Basic competency in CAD and the ability to provide engineering direction to the design personnel

Preferred Qualifications: Current PE license or ability to quickly obtain a current license preferred. Prior experience with vehicle dynamics, trailer, vocational vehicle, recreational vehicle, or up-fit Engineering simulation suites (e.g. Matlab, Catia, ANSYS, Maplesoft) Experience designing mechanical systems for high vibration environments. MIL-STD experience a plus. System analysis tools such as Fault Tree, FMEA, FMEDA, Hazop Computational Fluid Dynamics Proficiency in Mandarin a plus
