Technical Analyst (RFID - Application Support) Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 12 monthsKelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Technical Analyst to help provide support for our clients RFID and Vocera applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background within application/server support and strong knowledge of wireless networking and/or communication systems. This position will require an on-call rotation.This position will provide day to day support of Vocera Communications Technology, cellular pocket pagers, paging technology, RFID tags, RFID application support, Secure Text Messaging application support and ongoing maintenance, repair and replacement of such technologies. In addition the position will provide server application support for other Auxiliary Services technologies to include but not limited to Cardkey, Surveillance, Telesitter Cameras, Infant Abduction, Patient Education & Nurse Call.This position will be responsible for working daily trouble tickets and new service requests; providing technical analysis and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues. This position will exercise initiative, originality, and judgment in applying established principles and practices to new and unusual problems. Incumbent will be responsible for one or more of the following functions and/or activities related to the Clinical/Business operation process redesign: analyzing, redesigning and implementing specific processes for these Communications Systems; designing and setting up the software configuration; defining system data and reporting needs; and supporting the Communication Systems users. Position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with vendors on a regular basis regarding open issues, downtime notifications, change management technology advancement opportunities, etc. Ability to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and be available during off duty periods for on call support.Duties: Review and analyzes all incoming trouble tickets and services requests to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues and assess that existing technology will meet customer's needs. Plan for system expansions/upgrades. Develop timelines/plans for software installations, programming and training. Coordinates with all customers during both scheduled and unscheduled downtimes/outages, systems upgrades, etc. and work closely with the IT Operations Center to ensure communications are distributed to the customer base. Contact appropriate agency to report problems with equipment and track status of reported problems. Access Request Processing (IS Access Request Process) Report Generation (Maintenance and On Demand) Perform ongoing technical assessments related to these technologies Perform system administration functions including configuration, maintenance and upgrades. Interacts with customers, vendors, technical teams and management regarding ongoing support, maintenance and technology changes. Provide analytical support to research, evaluate, develop operational methods, promote and implement systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of departmental practices Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, improvement plans, process flows, communication plans and documents, requirements documentation and engaging, informational well organized presentations.SKILLS: Extensive Experience troubleshooting and configuring wired and wireless communication equipment and related computer equipment, including application and operating systems software. Understands how to communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully to the customer base. General understanding of pagers, RFID and other wireless communication devices. Experienced working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving. Ability to set priorities, organize work to manage multiple requests and meet deadlines.
