Network Design Engineer

Location: Freehold, NJ Description: Below is Job Description: Title: 911 Planning Engineer Duration: 30 Months Long Term Contract on W2Location: Freehold, NJ Description: 911 Engineering specialist focused on maintaining legacy networks and preparing new network elements to support emergency services calls originated by voice subscribers

• Candidate must have strong working knowledge of voice switch networks including a strong background in 911 call flows and functionality
• Provide 911 interconnection planning support of network expansions and for major projects ongoing in the voice network
• Work closely with legacy and next generation 911 service providers, state administrators and PSAP agencies to plan for network changes and technology evolution to IP terminations
• Partner internally and work well cross organizationally with Voice Planning, IT, Engineering, Operations and Carrier Relations to support all aspects of 911 network planning
• Support operations as a point of escalation for troubleshooting and development of Root Cause Analysis for 911 impacting incidents

• Develop trunk plans to initiate internal orders that support network interconnection
• Maintain internal inventory and provisioning databases
• Help project manage orders and downstream processes to ensure timely activation of network trunking
• Initiate orders to drive testing of new network interconnections
