Chenoa's client is looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist! Remote roleJob- Contract 3-4 Months+This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine duties of an accounting nature requiring initiative, good judgment, and a general understanding of basic accounting principles.JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure accurate payment of vendor invoices by researching, coding, and entering vendor invoices. Receiving and matching invoices to electronic purchase orders. Processing weekly check runs and filing of invoices. Running A/P and Purchasing reports for accounting staff and others as needed. Problem solving with vendors to resolve discrepancies with payments and/or invoices. Ensure timely processing of expense reimbursements by reviewing all expense reports submitted to accounting for verification with the company's travel and expense reimbursement policy. Verifying that all receipts are attached and correct. Following up with any questions or concerns employees may have related to submitting, approval and payment of expense reports. Filing all expense reports in a timely manner. Create purchase orders by reviewing purchase requisitions for proper approvals and coding prior to generating into purchase orders. Initiating electronic requisitions for other departments as necessary. Assisting requisitioners and buyers with system and/or process questions. Reconcile monthly corporate Client invoices by obtaining all supporting documentation and receipts, researching all charges, coding and entering to proper G/L expense accounts, and balancing to the general ledger. Continually strive for process improvements an efficiencies utilizing current and proposed future technologies.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and experience with full cycle Purchasing and Accounts Payable cycle. Experience with Oracle ERP system or other major ERP system strongly preferred, specifically experience with Procurement, Accounts Payable and I-Expenses. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is required. Experience with international subsidiaries preferred. Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation and facilitation) skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to work independently required.TRAINING, EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree in accounting or similar field or equivalent experience required. Four (4) plus years of experience in Accounting required Four (4) plus years of professional accounts payable experience in a multi company, multi-currency environment.
