Our client is looking for a

Senior SQL DBA REMOTE until safe to work on site in Parsippany, NJ

SQL Database Administration / Performance Tuning, Database Cloud technologies

Duration: 9 months – possible extensions up to 5 years.

Job Description:

SQL DBA with in-depth experience with Microsoft

SQL Server 2016-2019. Experience with

clustered environments configuring, and supporting

Always-ON as well as

DB mirroring. Experience troubleshooting databases,

performance tuning, server issues is a must. T-SQL for queries and development.Experience with

database security, and database maintenance.

Experience automating maintenance, and other business processing across distributed SQL Server environments - proficiency in authoring/developing automated solutions using

PowerShell and C#. Experience with .NET a plus.

Microsoft certification tests 70-461, 70-462 & 70-462 is also preferred.Responsible for managing SQL Server relational database management systems which are hosted on Microsoft

Windows 2012-2016 platforms, running on both

physical and virtual platforms in a 24 x 7 environment. The DBA works in coordination with team DBAs, as well as other dept. resources. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to - implementation, performance monitoring/tuning, ongoing maintenance, backup/recovery, security, auditing, support for production & development environments. On call support, migrations, and developing technical solutions to meet application requirements.
