Job Description

The Product Manager will lead the development and growth strategy for Verisk CourtSide, a legal analytics solution. Utilizing the expertise of insurance coverage issues and the United States Judicial system/case law to identify trends, researching Property and Casualty insurance-related topics, and supporting the development of staff, the Product Manager will play a pivotal role in the conception, definition, prioritization, and delivery of reliable and effective capabilities that support CourtSide’s strategic growth and address customer needs.

· Monitor and guide staff's research and analysis of insurance-related topics including ongoing collaboration and coordinate with our internal subject matter experts and lines of business.

· Lead continued enhancements to existing product topics, features, and contours, including, operational and substantive product features and marketing collateral.

· Lead staff's data aggregation of select case law data points, including, case law from independent research and from case law data provider.

· Maintain an active presence in all stages of the product development process, including influencing and collaborating with business unit colleagues and software development personnel/IT.

· Manage sales pipeline, pricing, contracting, and budget forecasting

Qualifications

· Juris Doctorate degree from accredited Law School or a minimum of 10 years related experience in researching, reviewing, and analyzing insurance-related case law

· Insurance related experience such as in data analytics, claims, products, underwriting, legal or compliance

·Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with internal staff and external stakeholders

· Ability to set and meet deadlines in order to meet product development milestones

· Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and negotiating skills; business creativity a must

· Product management experience a plus

·Travel as required (up to 30%)
