We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Admin based in Huntsville, AL to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to: managing and maintaining secure, minimally-interrupted operations of Windows workstations and servers; supporting bare-metal and virtual machines; coordinating actions with peer system administrators, network administrators, security teams, software teams and hardware engineers; devising, recommending and implementing performance-enhancement, reliability-enhancement and automation solutions; installing, hardening and patching operating systems; troubleshooting end-user issues; developing and documenting technical procedures. Primary system administration duties reside within an Agile Scrum Framework. Responsibilities: • Monitor system processes, correct system performance issues, and maintain backup schedules • Optimize software and system configurations, maintain software licenses, and assist with software updates and system upgrades • Able to partition disks, create logical volumes, create file systems and perform full Windows system administration functions • Read, modify and create batch files and PowerShell scripts • Learn new technologies on own and work effectively independently, while still coordinating actions as required • Perform operations in a VMware environment Run ACAS Scans. Perform remediation based on scan results Maintain systems in accordance with DISA STIGs. Provide compliance information utilizing STIG Viewer, Vulnerator #NGSkillsQualifications:Basic Qualifications: • 6 years of applicable experience with a Bachelor's degree; 4 years of experience with a Master's or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. • Active Secret security clearance required. • Security+ • Expertise in system administration of Windows operating systems (Workstation and Server) to include loading operating systems, applying patches, backup, Sysprep, and developing system admin tools is required. • Experience with system imaging including utilizing Windows Imaging Files (WIM) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) • The candidate should be able to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts, issues, and status. • Knowledge of DISA STIGS and their application to systems • ACAS plugin updates, scan creation, scan remediation Preferred Qualifications: • Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience • Experience with NAS storage device administration • Virtual Machine Management with VMware • Understand Agile Scrum framework and concepts Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
