Detailer - McClarin Plastics

Our starting pay for this position is $15.25 with a potential $.50 increase after 30 and 90 day evaluations. New hires are paid a bonus after 30, 90 and 180 days’ worth a total of $500.

POSITION SUMMARY

Finish off all fiberglass parts to ensure they are free of defects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Report to work as scheduled without tardiness, leaving early or absence, unless arranged in advance with supervisor.

 Buff or sand parts as needed.

 Use pins on fixtures to verify holes are drilled.

 Drill holes and/or grind part as needed.

 Use resin to fill holes and/or voids.

 Inspect parts to identify any non-conformities and implement repair process required. Repair in an efficient manner to ensure a defect-free product meeting quality standards, S.O.P.s, labor standards and production schedule.

 Perform basic tool maintenance by having them oiled, cleaned and stored in the assigned location.

 Perform all duties in a safe manner. Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required at all times.

 Clean area on a daily basis.

 Assist shipping department in packaging when required.

 All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 High School preferred or equivalent job knowledge and experience.

 Previous experience in fiberglass detailing and/or auto body detailing.

 Requires working on concrete floors on your feet all day.

 Performs work in awkward positions.

 Moving parts that weigh up to 50 lbs.

 Ability to perform repetitive wrist/arm motion for extended periods of time.

 Good eyesight to see fine detail work.
