Job DescriptionAs CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group Systems Engineer Manager, you will serve as a electrical and mechanical engineering subject matter expert; lead members of the multi-disciplinary engineering team through product concept, development, testing and delivery; report results and advise management of these efforts; serve as a systems engineering subject matter expert in briefing and responding to customer requests and requirements. Directly assist the Engineering Manager on all tasks. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the System Engineering processes.What You?ll Get to Do:
  • Lead Test Program Set (TPS) and other aviation test developers through product life cycle management (concept to delivery) of test systems within cost, scope, and schedule by example and by mentoring.
  • Assist the test system development teams in: Operational, functional and physical allocation; software applications at both the system level and the component level; hardware architecture design, development and testing; requirements satisfaction.
  • Coordinate team efforts with management and engineering lead.
  • Interface with customers regarding developmental efforts.
You?ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Ten or more years of experience with test system development for military weapon systems.
  • Development of test systems to requirements and verification of requirements (Test Planning).?Requirements analysis, Review, and Synthesis.
  • Technical Risk Assessment and Monitoring.
  • Product development experience through production.
  • Integration and test of hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated expertise with digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, closed loop servo systems, and AC and DC power supplies.
  • Design and development in a risk averse environment.
  • Experience with design reviews and justifying designs/development (Requirements Traceability Matrix Development and conformance management).
  • Technical Performance Measurement.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience and knowledge of US Air Force and/or Navy aviation maintenance organizational structure.
  • Working knowledge of RMF/ATO processes and how to qualify systems.
  • Requirements Allocation to Subcontractors.
  • Experience with National Instruments test tools and hardware.
  • Experience with ANSI-C or equivalent.
  • ?Experience with NI product software (TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, etc.)
  • Support equipment development in accordance with (IAW) MIL-PRF-28800, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461.
  • Familiarity with government FAR and D-FAR.
  • Product life cycle management IAW IEEE 15288.
  • Experience with PXI or equivalent technologies.
  • Development of automated test systems (ATE) and test program sets (TPS) for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems.
  • Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
