Summary This position is with our Site Reliability Team, and are responsible for site and service; performance, efficiency, emergency response, capacity planning, availability, latency, change management, and monitoring. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between software engineering and technical operations, has excellent communications skills and is an energetic detail-oriented team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Education: · Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Computer Science or related field. Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain an understanding of the software development and deployment pipeline. This includes initial software architecture and development, the continuous integration workflow, deployment of software through the pipeline to production, and monitoring of software and infrastructure in production.
- Build and maintain supporting infrastructure for AWS cloud environments through an “infrastructure as code” methodology.
- Create python scripts to automate AWS services
- Utilize Chef Cookbooks to manage hosted instances within AWS.
- Administer Jenkins continuous integration tool
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis of service interruptions.
- Automation, auditing, and other tooling for security, compliance, and resource usage
- Schedule Chef Nodes convergence using Linux Cron jobs
- Utilize Docker for environment setup for development and testing
- Configure AWS Identity Access Management (IAM) Group
