Description Job Description:Leidos is building a foundational team to support a developing U.S. Air Force contract that will transform Information Technology support to Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance industry tools. Our team needs experienced Cybersecurity professionals at all levels and across the cyber spectrum to help develop, implement, maintain, and protect a streamlined, open architecture support model. This opening is for Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Analysts, Cybersecurity Engineers, and Network Defense Analysts.Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing and deploying security related systems with a compliance-based focus and may act as an advisor/consultant. Although this role may work in many different areas across the IT spectrum, the predominant focus is on the core principles of ensuring the confidentiality of the data, integrity of the data and the system, and availability of the data and the system.
  • Ensures integral components are implemented throughout enterprise systems' and data's lifecycle, from design to decommission. Specifies security requirements and countermeasures, reviews current policies and procedures for applicability, reviews system OS security patch levels, and may ensure safe transition of applications to production. Develops documentation to support ongoing security systems operations, maintenance and specific problem resolution.
  • Performs Cyber Network Defense (CND). Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators. Investigates computer fraud or other electronic crimes, crack files and system passwords, detects steganography and recovers deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media of all types.
  • Provides monitoring and analysis of insider and external threats using network security tools and custom developed scripts. Performs network security alerting and problem resolution, prioritizes remediation efforts using reliable threat intelligence, and monitors and protects network security. Implements Enterprise Audit Conceptual Framework and performs all functions of the CND Framework.
  • Generates a complete list of auditable events for all user activity and then processes, formats, filters, and shares the data. Provides risk determination recommendations, assesses and report cyber readiness; performs an analysis of trends and concerns, and report key findings (i.e. provide recommendations and knowledge transfer based upon key findings), Provides a robust set of checks and balances to protect against unauthorized network modifications, penetrations, and other threats that might affect mission operations.
  • Manages antivirus definition files on enterprise information systems. Provides guidance and assistance to other entities responding to security events. Tracks and ensures enterprise compliance of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), bulletins, and notifications and compliance with other governing directives. Performs and oversees network vulnerability scanning functions IAW governing directive.
  • Conducts forensic analysis of digital information, gathers and handles evidence. Ensures chain of custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports. May be required to testify in court as expert witnesses.
Basic Qualifications
  • These positions will require, at a minimum, a High School Diploma, 3-5 years of relevant experience, Preferred education: BS degree in an information technology field; Additional Experience and education will be required for positions of increased responsibility
  • CompTIA certification
  • Security+ (CE) and CYSA+ CE
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Certifications - CEH, CompTIA A+, CCENT, Windows, Linux, UNIX training
  • Strong knowledge of HBSS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CND Framework 4.10.2.3
  • Experience working with Microsoft, Serena, and Oracle tools
