Job Description

Full time position available. Team member to assist the kitchen staff in fine dining food prep in Our senior living community, Full time position available.

Cookingfor residents, employees and special events. Prepares, seasons, and assists in cooking all menu items.

• Prepares both regular and therapeutic diet menu items.
• Follows menus and standards in preparing food on a timely basis, in sufficient quality and quantity, incorporating all food service requirements, service schedule, and sanitation standards.
• Assists in coordinating prep for the following daily menus.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements and departmental procedures.
• Keeps food waste to a minimum with proper food handling and utilization of all foodto prevent contamination, increase quality, and reduce cost.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience in restaurant or care industry or other related fields.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
