Description Robert Half Technology has a client looking for assistance on a two month project with possible extension to three months. This is a great opportunity to make some extra money, or for IT or Computer Science students to gain some work experience. Our client's location is near the Indianapolis Airport. This is a warehouse environment. We have two shifts available, 1st Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm or 2nd shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm with options to work Saturday. Scope of work: Will be processing used IT and Network equipment that has been returned from customers. Will be testing and troubleshooting PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Routers, Modems, Signal extenders, etc. Will determine if they are repairable or can be used for parts. Disassemble the equipment that is being recycled and add salvaged parts to inventory. Equipment that is working will be added back to inventory. Equipment that can be repaired, you may swap out screens, keyboards, memory, video cards, hard drives, power cables, etc. to insure if is in good working condition then add back to inventory. Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • High school diploma
  • Preferred to have 2+ years of experience with electronics assembly or PC/Laptop hardware troubleshooting/break fix experience. Or equivalent training/education
  • Previous experience with soldering is beneficial
  • Preferred to have a CompTIA A+ or Net+ certification
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
