Civil Engineer-in-Training

Gray & Osborne has provided professional engineering services to public agencies throughout Washington State since 1935. We specialize in the planning, design, and construction management of water, sewer, stormwater, transportation, and utility systems. We have a talented and motivated staff that is well respected in the municipal civil engineering community.

The opening is in our Yakima office located at 180 Iron Horse Court. Yakima has an ideal climate, warm in the summer with mild winters and almost 200 days of sunshine each year. The Yakima area has many opportunities for outdoor recreation including biking, hiking, fishing, hunting climbing, camping, skiing, and golfing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary responsibilities including providing planning, design, and construction support for water, sewer, stormwater, and transportation projects for municipalities and special purpose districts in Washington State. Duties may include the preparation of planning documents, engineering reports, plan, specifications, and estimates for projects. Duties may also include providing construction management support activities such as submittal review, resolution of construction issues, and field observation of construction activities. This position is under the direction of a licensed professional engineer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

4-year Civil Engineering degree.

Engineer-in-Training preferred.

0-5 years of experience in Civil Engineering design.

Able to use AutoCAD and Civil 3D as design tools.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Able to work well with others in a collaborative manner.
