HMI Solution Architect/Lead HMI Engineer

- Read analyze and interpret customer HMI specifications and guides implementation in HMI models.
- Parses graphics using Adobe Illustrator or other relevant tools.
- Guides the team/Create HMI models using EB Guide, Altia, CGI Studio, QT, etc.
- Collaborates with the Core Team engineers and Software Designers on design and implementation.
- Ability to communicate with customer design office with any graphics or HMI specification.
- Works with team on test models to verify HMI performance and implementations.
- Participates in Technical Design Review meetings to review HMI Designs required.
- Collaborates with the team to diagnose, root cause, and implement corrective actions for vehicle, quality issues.
- Mentor junior software team members on technical topics and best practices.
- Define tools and processes for software development and change management.
- Assist in identifying and tracking new technology developments and analyze their impact on the automotive space.
- Work closely with Tier-1 suppliers for seamless integration of HMI code for component Integration.
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- 15+ years of working experience in Automotive Embedded SDLC
- 10+ years of working experience in Instrument Cluster HMI development, Model-based S/W development.
- Should have working experience on the graphical processors (drivers, communication with vehicle processors, etc.)
- Should have working experience in HMI development tools like QT, Altia, etc.
- Should have Working level experience on auto-code generation for HMI and integration of code with hardware and application code
- Should have excellent verbal, written communication skills and coordination skills.
- Good communications skills, to effectively communicate deliberations and decisions
- Should have a proactive approach in taking responsibility for tasks and timely issue closures
- Proactive approach in communicating potential risks and mitigations measures as needed in a timely manner with appropriate team members.
- Be a team player
- Be willing to travel up to 10% domestic or international travel
- Be willing to work in an office/client-site in Dearborn, MI
