Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for a technical business analyst that can assist in helping solve business projects and issues by using their technical expertise with data.

Need 7+ years of Business/IT Experience

You should have a solid business understanding in domains such as: Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Logistics.

Technically you should have the skill set to be able to run complex SQL queries and understand the data environment to write business requirements that will assist on the project or issue.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Elicit user requirements using document analysis, requirements workshops including Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with business customers to analyze information needs and gather functional requirements.
  • Deliver business requirements mapping, process flows, functional designs, test plans, training requirement and high-level project timeline for each assigned project.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Work independently or under the direction of a Technical delivery manager.
  • Challenge business manager on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Develop and maintain business process mapping documents.
  • Track all requests for business application changes.

Requirements:
  • You will build relationships with business users and the Data Team, work with stakeholders to understand business processes, facilitating sessions, writing requirements or user stories, etc.
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet business requirements.
  • Ability to write Complex SQL queries
  • Understanding of Data Environments / Data Warehouse
  • Gathering requirements, working with users, interfacing with management and directors.
  • Good communications skills and highly organized!
