RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing and established small to medium sized company in the Chandler, AZ area is seeking a Principal Structural Analysis Mechanical Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager.Duties: Perform complex Structural Analysis and mechanical packaging design and analysis for space flight and/or aerospace electronic projects Will have excellent working knowledge of dynamics and thermal effects and be capable of performing structural and thermal analysis/hand calculations to ensure critical electronic components will survive the required operational and test environments Packaging of electronic components requires excellent working knowledge manufacturing workmanship standards to facilitate assembly, wiring, and soldering Generate mechanical fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, interface control documents, and procedures as required across various products and programs Design fixtures and tooling required to facilitate manufacturing and integration of productsREQUIREMENTS: B.S Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is a plus 8 to 12+ years of experience working knowledge and experience of finite element modeling and thermal and structural analysis (using NASTRAN&FEMAP or ANSYS)Familiarity/understanding of dynamics and structural fatigue methodology such as Steinberg, etc. Experience in electronics packaging or similar work experience is a plus Ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum testing Understanding and application of GD&T and tolerancing practices and implementation on drawings Knowledge and experience with electronics packaging or similar experience is preferred Knowledge and experience working with 3D CAD and Simulation software (SolidWorks experience is preferred but not required) Understanding and experience with Stress and Thermal Analysis; Experience with application of Steinberg component fatigue methodologies Understanding of documentation/configuration management best practices Understanding and experience with machining and fabrication best practices Understanding and experience with Spacecraft and/or military electronics manufacturing and soldering standards Understanding and experience with adhesives, bondings, platings, and coatings Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts This position requires access to US Export Controlled InformationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
