Mainframe Developer

Technical /Functional Skills :• Strong knowledge in Mainframe programming language - COBOL, Assembler, JCL and IMS Online• Strong knowledge in Databases – DB2, VSAM and IMS DB• Good knowledge on mainframe gateway connectivity like MQ• Experience in IMS screen changes would be added advantage• Extensive experience in using mainframe tools – like QMF, Endeavor, Platinum, ISPF, Quikjobs, REXX• Good experience on mainframe correspondence printing on CSF, AFP & XICS • Experience working in Insurance domain preferred. LOMA certification is a plus• Good experience in application support debugging job abends & real time transaction support• Working experience in Agile methodologyRoles and Responsibilities :• Production support & Maintenance activities of supporting mainframe applications suite• Leading development activities part of System enhancements request• Interaction with business users and able to understand the requirements• Analyze and debug the existing code• Development of Unit Test cases• Design document development and review• Onsite-Offshore coordination
