Job Description

You will work in the dock area, operating a Yard Dog truck to move trailers between the dock and trailer yard. You will transport trailers from offsite to onsite location as needed, perform pre-trip and post trip inspections, and load and unload the freight. This position reports to a supervisor in the shipping/receiving area.

SHIFT:

  • 2nd shift hours are approximately 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

PAY:

Approximately $17.28/hour, plus a $1.11 shift differential/hour

Qualifications

  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • A valid driver’s license with a CDL, Class A License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft products
  • Quality Oriented and demonstrates strong commitment to safety
  • Flexible in day to day task management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
  • Ability to use MBCI Production System tools
  • Ability to walk,climb, bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
  • Ability to reach (including above your head)
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery.
  • Ability to connect and disconnect a yard jockey
