We are DISH.We are looking for an innovative and passionate Staff Technical Product Owner to help lead one or two software development teams that are helping build out the DISH 5G Wireless Network. The candidate chosen will lead development and implementation of Data Engineering and Analytics initiatives related to Network Data Management. Candidates filling this role will have prior experience in working with Data Engineering teams and supporting Data Analytics projects, preferrably in a Big Data environment.This position provides an opportunity for a creative individual to engineer innovative products and services that will propel DISH into the forefront of the next technological revolution using a data-driven approach.   • Drive Data Engineering and Analytics Initiatives for our 5G Wireless Network OSS Platform buildout;
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for cloud native products, promoting teamwork, relentlessly finding opportunities for improvement, and sharing knowledge;
  • Develop an intimate understanding of customer needs and using this knowledge to guide product decisions with a concise vision, roadmap, and plan;
  • Create and prioritize wireless IoT and 5G Data and Analysis features and user stories in the backlog;
  • Remove any team blockers hindering supported cross-functional teams;
  • Contribute to analysis of data, data flows and system flows;
  • Manage all stakeholder expectations (Product Management, Executive Leadership, Architects, UX) by understanding their unique needs in order to meet them;
  • Work with global teams in developing and implementing software solutions including vendors, system integrators, and multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Work with Project Managers to roll up status updates to executives;
  • Conduct presentations with executive leadership as needed.
A successful Staff Technical Product Owner will have the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical degree;
  • 6+ years of experience working as a Product Owner or Technical Lead on an Agile software development team;
  • 6+ years of experience with feature and story creation, prioritization, and maturation as well as leading Agile teams of Analysts, Developers, Testers, and Configurators;
  • Strong technical background with Data Analytics and Engineering;
  • Awareness of Cloud Native tools such as Kubernetes and Docker;
  • Awareness of compute, storage, data, networking, security, and monitoring tools on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Azure;
  • Great communication skills This role will require someone who is exceptional at building trust, persuading stakeholders, inspiring team members, and selling solutions.
